Free Seminars on How to Improve Doctor Visits
Free group training sessions on how elderly patients can improve visits to their doctor will be held at the Wyoming Family Practice Center, 305 Crescent Ave., through February 24.
Led by Nancy Elder, MD, associate professor of family medicine at the University of Cincinnati Academic Health Center and funded by a grant to the National Patient Safety Foundation, the sessions are designed to help the elderly improve communication with their doctor so they get better care, and to help prevent treatment errors.
To assess the effectiveness of the training, participants will be invited to complete a survey and participate in a later individual training session with a family member or friend. They will receive a cash payment for their assistance.
All ages are welcome and refreshments will be served. The group sessions will be held on the following dates:
