Gun Violence Prevention Program, Funeral Home Hold Remembrance Ceremony for Lives Lost
CINCINNATIThe Out of the Crossfire Gun Violence Prevention Program and J.C Battle and Sons Funeral Home have teamed up to host the second annual Ancestral Remembrance Celebration on Friday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m.
The holiday season is often difficult for people who have lost loved ones, says Michele Battle, co-owner of the funeral home. With the use of music, dance and poetry, the Ancestral Remembrance Program gives families and friends an opportunity to come out and celebrate the lives of those who have passed on.

The Ancestral Remembrance Celebration will feature musical performances by Atlanta-based kalimba (African thumb piano) player Kevin Spears, and local gospel recording artist Teresa Teri. Attendees can enjoy complimentary food from Auntys Homemade Food at Findlay Market while shopping at local vendors.
