Free Brain Aneurysm Symposium Spotlights Survivor Challenges

The symposium will provide a unique opportunity for brain aneurysm survivors and their families to meet with other survivors, caregivers and health care professionals. The symposium will offer formal presentations and informational displays. Topics will include diagnosis, surgical and endovascular treatments of brain aneurysms, coping with disability, conquering headaches and maintaining a positive attitude.
Featured speakers will be Mario Zuccarello, MD, neurosurgeon with the Mayfield Clinic and director of the division of cerebrovascular surgery at the UC Neuroscience Institute; Brendan Kelley, MD, Samir Belajae, MD, and Joseph Nicolas, MD, neurologists with UC Physicians and the UC Neuroscience Institute; and Wiley Piazza, director of health promotion and wellness at Montague, Eippert and Associates.

The Tri-State Brain Aneurysm Support Group, founded in 2002, provides information, educational materials and encouragement to survivors and their families and caregivers.
