Lindner Center of HOPE Granted Medicare Provider Status
CINCINNATIThe Lindner Center of HOPE has been accepted as a psychiatric hospital in the Medicare program by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services based on its accreditation from the Joint Commission and a survey conducted by federal surveyors.
The Lindner Center of HOPEs official participation in the Medicare program is effective June 19, 2009.
Medicare is a social insurance program administered by the United States government, providing health insurance coverage to people who are aged 65 and over, or who meet other special criteria.
The Lindner Center of HOPE, which is affiliated with the University of Cincinnati (UC) College of Medicine, provides care for individuals with mental illness. It serves patients aged 11 and older through fully integrated inpatient, outpatient, research and voluntary, live-in services.
Paul Keck, MD, is president and chief executive officer of the Lindner Center of HOPE.
