Medical Student Jenna Klotz Wins AMA Scholarship

Fourth-year medical student Jenna Klotz has been awarded the Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarship by the American Medical Association (AMA) Foundation.

The scholarship is awarded to a select group of 18 rising fourth-year students based on their academics, financial status and community involvement. Each student will receive a $10,000 scholarship to defray medical school expenses.

"I had to listen to the voicemail a couple times before I believed it,” Klotz says of receiving the scholarship.

UC medical student, Jared Bentley, MD, was awarded the scholarship in 2010.

"Their academic achievements, public health initiatives and volunteer activities illustrate their commitment to assume leadership roles in the medical community and improve health care in the United States.”
