Ambulatory Long-Block Recognized by AAMC

Eric Warm, MD, professor of medicine and director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at UC, along with colleagues Gregory Rouan, MD, chair of the department, Bradley Mathis, MD and Tiffiny Diers, MD, both associate professors of medicine, was recently awarded the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Readiness for Reform (R4R) Innovations Challenge Award at the annual AAMC meeting, Nov. 4-9, in Denver, Colo., in recognition of the College of Medicine’s Ambulatory Long-Block program. There were 45 submissions with three awards and two honorable mentions. AAMC launched the R4R Health Care Innovation Challenge to recognize programs within the membership that transform health care delivery and that leverage the uniqueness of academic medicine by integrating innovations in research and education. The winning teams received a $5,000 check.
