Senior Associate Deans to Discuss College of Medicine

In the upcoming months, the senior associate deans at the UC College of Medicine will give presentations to discuss several aspects of the college, from research to education and funding.

At 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan, 17, Stephen Strakowski, MD, senior associate dean for research, will give an overview of research at the College of Medicine in Medical Sciences Building 5051. 

Strakowski will discuss the course ahead for basic, clinical, translational and graduate research in advancing the college as an elite biomedical research institution in a talk titled, "Art is I, Science is We: Research at the College of Medicine." There will be an opportunity for questions afterwards.

Future talks:

• Tuesday, Feb. 28, Lori Mackey, senior associate dean for operations and finance, will discuss the financial picture of the College of Medicine at 12:15 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium.

• Tuesday, March 20, Andrew Filak, MD, senior associate dean for academic affairs, will discuss the educational aspect of the College of Medicine at 12:15 p.m. in  Kresge Auditorium.

• Monday, April 30, Myles Pensak, senior associate dean for clinical affairs, will discuss the clinical mission of the College of Medicine at 12:15 p.m. in  Kresge Auditorium.
