Allied Health Blood Drive May 14

The College of Allied Health Sciences will host a Hoxworth Mobile blood drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, May 14. The Hoxworth Bloodmobile will be parked in the parking spaces outside French East.


Dean Elizabeth King is sponsoring a challenge to the college’s student groups for the blood drive: the group sponsoring the most donors will receive an ice cream social for their work.

All donors will receive a free insulated UC tumbler.

Local couple uses royalties from children's books to give gifts to kids in need

A local couple has found a unique way to give back to those in need this holiday season. Vic and Laura Troha wrote two children's books together, and this year, they are using the proceeds to buy Christmas gifts for Hamilton County foster kids. The couple are both graduates of the University of Cincinnati's College of Allied Health Sciences and met the day they graduated.
