Board of Trustees Approves Appointments, New Location Names
At its Tuesday, May 22, meeting, the UC Board of Trustees approved several emeriti appointments and the naming of two locations in the Medical Sciences Building.
The board approved MSB G401 as the "J. Harold Kotte, MD Student Study Area. The newly renovated space was named to honor Kotte, a 1937 graduate of the college.
The board also approved the naming of the lab located at MSB 6304, 6304A and 6307D as the "Stryker Corporation Skull Base Surgery Laboratory. The laboratory will be used for temporal bone, endoscopic sinus and cranial base surgery training.
The following College of Medicine faculty appointments were also approved:
James Boex, PhD, professor emeritus of medical education
James Lessard, PhD, professor emeritus of pediatrics
Carol Rice, PhD, professor emerita of environmental health
Umeshraya Pai, MD, professor emeritus of anesthesiology
