College of Allied Health Sciences Hosts 14th Annual PRaISE Conference May 11

The College of Allied Health Sciences will host its 14th annual PRaISE (Presentation of Research and Innovative/Scholarly Endeavors) Conference from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Friday, May 11, at Tangeman University Center.

The conference involves both oral and poster presentations of student research, distinguished alumni awards and a keynote address.

Wendy Baldwin, PhD, will be the keynote speaker for the conference, presenting "Why Youth are Key to Stemming the Tide of Noncommunicable Diseases" at 11 a.m in the TUC Great Hall.

Baldwin is president and CEO of the Population Reference Bureau in Washington, DC. Trained as a social demographer she was formerly at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) leading research programs in population, adolescents, fertility, family and other topics.

UC students organize free health clinic in community
