Shear Serving as President-Elect of APA Division

Paula Shear, PhD, professor of psychology and psychiatry, has been elected by her peers to serve a one-year term as president-elect of the American Psychological Association (APA) Division 40. Upon completion of her term as president-elect, Shear will serve consecutive one-year terms as president and past president, respectively.

Division 40, the APS’s division of clinical neuropsychology, has about 5,000 members. It is devoted to the study of brain-behavior relationships and the clinical application of that knowledge to human problems; promotes the use of scientific research to develop its knowledge base and clinical techniques; and is active in the development and promotion of quality standards of professional training and practice.
