Ohio Rep. Maag Visits Pharmacy College

The University of Cincinnati's chapter of the American Pharmacists Association–Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA–ASP) sponsored a visit by Ohio Rep. Ron Maag Sept. 24 at UC’s James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy.

About 100 pharmacy students were in attendance as Maag spoke on topics such as the public image of the pharmacist, limited prescribing rights for pharmacists, health care reform and what it means for the pharmacist, tort reform and optimizing communication with your elected representative.

The ASP is the student branch of the APhA, the first established and largest professional association of pharmacists in the United States. The mission of APhA–ASP is to be the collective voice of pharmacy students, to provide opportunities for professional growth and to envision and actively promote the future of pharmacy.
