Electric Shutdown Scheduled for Tuesday, April 30
A brief power outage is scheduled for the morning of Tuesday, April 30, at 4:30 a.m.
The outage, which should not last more than a couple of minutes, is necessary to make the new substation at the Central Utility Plant operational. The outage will affect all buildings on both the Uptown East and the Uptown West campuses.
Public Safety will use the university's emergency broadcast system that morning to remind people to back up and save data, and to stay off of elevators during the shutdown. Equipment that receives power from emergency generators will receive power, but this equipment will still experience a short outage when the generators start and transfer to emergency circuits.
If you have questions, call Joe Harrell at 513-558-4635.
