Recent UC Pharmacy Grad's Jeopardy! Run Ends
John Anneken, PhD, is having an exciting spring. He has a freshly minted PhD from the University of Cincinnati James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy and made three successful appearances on the syndicated "Jeopardy!" quiz show.
On May 1, Anneken won $18,911 after answering the Final Jeopardy clue in the theater category with: "Where is Canterbury?" He added $14,000 with another victory May 2 and $27,201 more May 3 for a three-day total of $60,112.
His run of success ended with the May 20 show, when he finished third. Counting the $1,000 he won for that, he went home with $61,112.
Anneken flew out to California for taping earlier this year and wasn't able to share the outcome of his fame until the show actually aired.
The show airs in Cincinnati on FOX 19, Channel 19.
