Construction Walls Going Up for Levels E and 1

Construction barrier walls for Levels E and 1 of the Medical Sciences Building (MSB) will start to go up the week of Aug. 12. The walls will allow construction access to the MSB Rehabilitation project Phase IV area while also maintaining access to other areas of the MSB.

Starting at 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, walls will go up along the MSB’s southernmost east/west corridor (intersecting with the main corridor, which runs north/south) from Room 1351 to a point across from Suite 1358. The wall will divide the existing corridor in half to allow access to the labs and offices that were part of Phase II (northeast quadrant) and are now occupied. All work in this area will be done by 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14.

Starting at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, the north/south corridor on Level 1 will have barrier walls installed in it from Room 1351 south to the double doors entrance from UC Medical Center. Access will still be available for this corridor between the medical center and the MSB, but with reduced width. All work in this area will be done by 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15.

Starting at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, walls will go up along the MSB’s Level E north/south corridor from Room E362 to Room E601A (about 60 feet from the double doors leading to Eden Garage and UC Medical Center). The wall will divide the existing corridor in half to allow access to the offices and spaces that were part of Phase III (southwest quadrant) and Phase II (northeast quadrant) and are now occupied. All work in this area will be done by 6 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20.
