LEAF Grants Open for Women Faculty
The University of Cincinnatis LEAF initiative, or "Leadership, Empowerment and Advancement of Women in Stem Faculty, will be awarding a series of grants to support women STEM faculty at the university.
UC LEAF grants will target new research initiatives, career advancement training, diversity initiatives, and leadership development.
Three types of grants are available:
- The UC LEAF Seed Award will be a competitive funding opportunity offered annually to women STEM faculty without external funding to support research efforts aimed at collecting pilot data for future external funding submissions.
- The Career Branch Award will be offered to all women STEM faculty to provide support for advanced training in a particular area, for interdisciplinary and cross-institutional collaboration, for entrepreneurial, diversity and community endeavors or to fund faculty initiated projects that benefit UC and fulfill the UC LEAF goals.
- The Leadership Branch Award will provide funding to support attendance at national conferences or training programs that help prepare mid and senior level faculty for positions of academic or professional leadership.
