Reminder: Bearcats Pep Rally at the Academic Health Center Set for Sept. 10

Cheer on the University of Cincinnati Bearcats football team at a pep rally at 11:15 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 10, on the plaza outside the main entrance to the CARE/Crawley Building. Note: The 11:15 a.m. start time is a change from previous announcements.

Academic Health Center faculty, staff and students and UC Health employees will welcome Head Coach Tommy Tuberville and UC Director of Athletics Mike Bohn for the event. Several members of the Bearcats football team along with cheerleaders, marching band members and the Bearcat mascot also will be there.

The rally comes just two days before the Bearcats kick off their 2014 season playing the University of Toledo Rockets at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 12, at Paul Brown Stadium. Bearcats home games have moved downtown for this season while Nippert Stadium undergoes an $86 million renovation.

The Bearcats were selected to finish No. 1 in the American Athletic Conference preseason media poll. The team finished third last season with a 9-4 record. It was Tuberville’s first season as Bearcats head coach.

Specially priced tickets to the Sept. 12 game also will be on sale at the rally. With the purchase of each $15 ticket, Academic Health Center faculty, staff and students and UC Health employees will receive a special "UC White Out” T-shirt.
