Access to MSB Dock Will Be Interrupted Over Next Few Weeks

There will be some interruptions to normal dock access at the Medical Sciences Building over the next few weeks, Maintenance & Operations reports.

On Saturday, April 11, the dock will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in order to set up a crane and lift electrical gear into the MSB penthouse. Access to the dock may still be available during the shutdown, but it must be coordinated with Ric Siegel on site (513-266-2594).

On Monday, April 13, a temporary generator will be set in the farthest east dock stall. This will affect that dock location as well as the parking spots along the wall of the MSB at the far east side of the dock area. The temporary generator is necessary while work is being done on the permanent MSB emergency generator.

It is expected that work will take at least two weeks to complete. Emergency power will not be available for a brief period at the beginning and end of this project while the temporary generator is connected and disconnected. It should not affect any equipment as long as there is no simultaneous interruption of normal power.

If you have any questions on the generator work, please contact Bob Luce at 513-556-6303 or Ken Bloomer at 513-556-0605.
