Some Fume Hood Systems Will Be Shut Down Temporarily April 18

In order to move a fume hood from one room to another, some fume hood systems in the Medical Sciences Building (MSB) will be shut down temporarily Saturday, April 18.

The fume hood system in Levels 3 through 7 of the MSB’s southwest quadrant (adjacent to Eden Avenue and UC Medical Center) will be turned off at 7 a.m. and back on at 9 a.m.

The fume hood system in Levels R through 7 of the MSB’s northeast quadrant (adjacent to Albert Sabin way and the Cardiovascular research Center) will be turned off at 10 a.m. and back on at 4 p.m.

These shutdowns will only affect the fume hoods, not the lab general exhaust systems.
