UC Experts Present 8 Abstracts at World Conference on Lung Cancer
Eight abstracts by UC researchers and members of UC Cancer Institutes Lung Cancer Center, as well as a number of UC fellows and residents, were presented at the 16th World Conference on Lung Cancer, held Sept. 6-9 in Denver, Colorado. Among the presented abstracts was one on an ongoing investigator-initiated trial at UC, spotlighted during a session about clinical trials in progress.
The World Conference on Lung Cancer, the conference of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, is the worlds largest meeting dedicated to lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies. More than 7,000 delegates come from more than 100 countries to discuss the latest developments in thoracic malignancy research. Attendees include surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pulmonologists, radiologists, pathologists, epidemiologists, basic research scientists, nurses, allied health professionals, advocates and patients.
