Ghostly Doors Haunt Hallways of Accounting and Finance, HR Offices

The fourth floor of the Stetson Building became a living nightmare in celebration of Halloween this week. Spiders, ghosts, rusty chains, witches and bats were among many ghoulish items used to decorate nearly a dozen office doors in offices of the College of Medicine’s finance and accounting and human resource offices.

"The doors are really unique and pretty cool,” says Jan Hawk, associate dean for finance. "This is an outlet for the creative talent of our staff. We wanted to have a little bit of fun and excitement before the budget season starts in December.”

Hawk added that decorating the doors also was a great team building exercise. "This is the first time we’ve ever done something like this, and they are very proud to show off their doors."

About 50 members of the two offices relocated to the Stetson Building from the Victory Parkway Campus in June.
