Shuk-Mei Ho, PhD, Honored for Lifetime of Achievement in Research
Shuk-Mei Ho, Jacob G. Schmidlapp Professor and Chair of Environmental Health, was honored Thursday, Oct. 1, at an event hosted by the College of Medicine Office of Research. Senior Associate Dean for Research Melanie Cushion, PhD, presented her with the Lifetime of Achievement in Research Award, and Ho gave an overview of her research in the role of hormones and endocrine disruptors on disease development.
Ho joined the College of Medicine faculty as chair of the Department of Environmental Health in 2005 and was honored with the George Rieveschl Jr. Award for Distinguished Scientific Research at UCs annual All-University Faculty Awards celebration earlier this year.
A reception followed the event.
