Free Screening of 'A Day's Work' Documentary Wednesday, Nov. 18
A free screening of "A Days Work, a 2015 documentary film that focuses on the temporary staffing industry, is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, in Kehoe Auditorium, Kettering Lab Complex. A panel discussion will follow the screening, which is open to the public.
The film tells the story of Lawrence Daquan "Day Davis, a 21-year-old Florida temporary employee who died Aug. 16, 2012, on his first day of work at a bottling facility. It was produced, directed and edited by David Garcia and executive produced by Dave DeSario; DeSario will attend the screening and provide background remarks.
The event is sponsored by the UC Education and Research Center, which is housed in the Department of Environmental Health, and the UC student chapters of the American Industrial Hygiene Association and the American Society of Safety Engineers. For information, call 513-558-5710.
