Professors Take a Pie in the Face to Raise Funds and Generate Laughs

Each year, the UC College of Medicine student chapter of the American Medical Association hosts a "Pie-A-Prof" fundraising event to support their educational and charitable activities through the year. This year’s event was held Friday, May 13, in front of CARE Crawley Building. The chapter raffled off chances for students and staff to "pie” some beloved UC College of Medicine Professors. It raised around $300 with half of the funds going to Bethany House in Cincinnati and the remaining amount will be used by the AMA student chapter for educational activities. The three top fundraisers: Bruce Giffin, PhD, professor and associate dean for medical education; Aaron Marshall, PhD, assistant professor of medical education; and Andy Thompson, assistant professor of medical education, were the lucky faculty to receive pies in the face.

Aaron Marshall, PhD, (right with laughs) and Andy Thompson, PhD, are willing to pitch in for the "Pie-a-Prof" fundraiser in front of CARE Crawley Building.
