Alumna Kelly Dobos Elected to Lead Society of Cosmetic Chemists

The James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy would like to congratulate alumna Kelly Dobos, MS, ('12), MBA, on being elected vice-president elect of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC). She will assume the role of vice president of the society in 2018 and serve as the president in 2019.

"The Society of Cosmetic Chemists supports for the advancement of science and technology while striving to maintain the public’s confidence in the cosmetic and toiletries industry. I’m honored to serve the SCC as vice president-elect  and support those goals as we continue to develop innovative ideas for future growth and advancement of the organization," says Dobos, a Sun Chemical technical manager for cosmetics in the Americas region.

Comprised of over 4,000 members, SCC is dedicated to the advancement of cosmetic science and strives to increase and disseminate scientific information through meetings and publications.

Dobos has nearly 15 years of experience as a cosmetic chemist with expertise is skin care and makeup formulation and has worked with Sun Chemical since 2014. She holds a master’s degree of pharmaceutical science with a concentration in cosmetic science from the UC and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Oberlin College.
