College of Nursing Pair Present at Apple Nursing Leadership Event
Greer Glazer, PhD, dean of the University of Cincinnati (UC) College of Nursing, and Matt Rota, director of the Center for Academic Technology, Education Resources and Instructional Design in the College of Nursing, are taking part as guest speakers and panel participants at the Preparing Nursing Students for Success in a Mobile Workforce event hosted by Apple. The event will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Apple Executive Briefing Center in Reston, Virginia.
Apple is hosting leadership from colleges of nursing and will facilitate an in-depth conversation to discover how faculty and students in nursing programs are using mobile devices and digital learning experiences to communicate, create, collaborate and innovate.
"We feel that your college is a lighthouse in nursing education which has demonstrated tremendous leadership and commitment to innovation with your iCoN program, wrote Jason Beckham, health market executive for Apple Education in the invitation to Glazer and Rota.
The UC College of Nursing has twice been designated as an Apple Distinguished Program, and is home to the iCoN initiative, which is the innovation of nursing education through the creative leveraging of iPads.
