Join the UC, UC Health Team for Ride Cincinnati Event

Ride Cincinnati, a bike ride and fundraising event benefitting the UC Health Barrett Cancer Center, will take place Sunday, June 10, at Yeatman’s Cove.

Elizabeth Shaughnessy, MD, professor in the Department of Surgery and UC Health surgeon, is spearheading the team for the college and health system.

To further create excitement around the event and support Ride Cincinnati fundraising, department chairs are being urged to designate team leads for an interdepartmental challenge between May 14 and June 8.

To participate:
  • Nominate team lead(s) by May 18.
  • Encourage department staff to sign up to ride, volunteer at the event or make a donation in any amount to the UC Health/UC team.
  • Win door prizes, to be raffled off everyday from May 29 through June 8.
  • Enjoy a free lunch if your team wins.
Those who have signed up to ride or donated to the team will automatically be entered to win door prizes. Giveaways include yoga mats, stainless steel tumblers, book bags, duffle bags and more.

To join the UC Health/UC team, search for "UCHealth/UC” (under corporate), after registering at www.ridecincinnati.org. Shaughnessy asks that participants on the team email her at shaughea@ucmail.uc.edu to provide jacket sizes.
