Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course at the Cincinnati Nature Center

The UC Center for Integrative Health and Wellness is offering an 8-week experiential training course in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at the Cincinnati Nature Center.

 

Participants will be taught mindfulness practices (e.g. breath mediation, body scan meditation, yoga) and group connection aimed at enhancing self-awareness and self-care. The program will be facilitated by clinical phycologist and trained MBSR instructor Meera Murthi, PhD.

 

The start date for the course is Sept. 27; it meets weekly on Thursday evenings. The cost to participate is $650, which covers over 28 hours of class time, including an all-day Immersion Retreat with lunch provided on Saturday, Oct. 27.

 

Introduction Orientation to learn more about the program takes place from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, August 29. Cost for the orientation is $10.

UC students organize free health clinic in community
