UC Moves a Step Closer to Engineering Cells Via Foam

The groundbreaking research of Hyo-Jick Choi, UC research assistant professor, was recently featured in the February issue of Nanotechnology. Choi and his colleagues have discovered that ranaspumin-2 foam the foam nests of frogs shows potential as a biochemical reactor. This discovery brings us a step closer to the reproduction of in vitro engineering.

Campus Recreation Center Named Most Amazing

The Campus Recreation Center complex was named No. 1 in a list of the Most Amazing Campus Recreation Centers by Best College Reviews. All the recreation facilities were considered, including recreation programming, outdoor facilities and architecture.

UC s First Annual Report Accepted by NCAA

The NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions has approved the institution s July 19, 2012, first annual compliance report in follow-up to a major violation in the University of Cincinnati's women's basketball program and secondary violations in UC women's basketball and football programs released by the NCAA in September of 2011. The violations involved former and current coaches at UC. The violations were discovered by the UC athletics compliance department and self-reported to the NCAA. In turn, the NCAA accepted a slate of self-imposed sanctions by UC.
