Mechanism That Causes Infection in Rare Lung Disease Found

Nearly 20 percent of reported deaths in people with the rare lung disorder pulmonary alveolar proteinosis (PAP) are attributed to microbial infections. Researchers at UC and Cincinnati Children s Hospital Medical Center have identified a molecular defect in PAP sufferers, explaining why they are more susceptible to these deadly infections.

ROAD CLOSURE: Part of Service Drive to Close for Five Days Over...

Repair work on chilled water lines will necessitate the closure of a section of Service Drive from March 19-23. Also work is beginning in Blegen Library that will take that building's rear elevator out of service for a number of weeks, and Blegen's front doors will be replaced over the next week.
