UC has been selected to participate in the Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning's Institutional Leadership Program. This three-year partnership will focus on improving education through development of a new leadership program. UC's participation is being coordinated through the university's Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning.

Diane F. Halpern, past president of the American Psychological Association, received her PhD from the University of Cincinnati. She has won many awards for her teaching and research, including the 2002 Outstanding Professor Award from the Western Psychological Association, the 1999 American Psychological Foundation Award for Distinguished Teaching and the 1996 Distinguished Career Award for Contributions to Education given by the American Psychological Association.
