UC Clermont’s Calico Children’s Theatre presents ‘Rumpelstiltzkin’
Show geared toward elementary students; tickets on sale now
UC Clermont College’s Calico Children’s Theatre will feature “Rumpelstiltzkin”, performed by The Frisch Marionettes, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m.
Adapted from the Brothers’ Grimm classic tale, this story teaches the importance of making promises that one can keep and the perils of exaggerating the truth. Working primarily with marionettes, The Frisch Marionettes perform in the traditional styles of 19th century European puppetry. Drawing inspiration from the great European troupes such as the Salzburg Marionette Theatre, they endeavor to bring one of the great old world arts to contemporary audiences. The show is recommended for children in kindergarten through 6th grade.
All performances are held in the Krueger Auditorium on the UC Clermont College campus at 4200 Clermont College Dr., Batavia, Ohio, and are approximately one hour long.
