UC faculty invited to create courses on the university-community relationship
Up to six $5,000 mini grants available
The Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs and the Division of Experience-Based Learning and Career Education, through the UC Forward Program, will support undergraduate coursework to be conducted in Fall 2019 that addresses essential aspects of the University of Cincinnati’s relationship to the broader community.
Up to six courses will be funded with course development awards of $5,000 each. Activities are intended to promote progressive pedagogy and associated research inquiry. Coursework interactions and outcomes are anticipated which will lead to future collaboration among diverse disciplines in both teaching and ancillary research opportunities in any related area of interest.
Coursework proposals are sought from all disciplines.
The deadline to apply for funding is January 18, 2019, at 4 p.m.

UC students organize free health clinic in community

The University of Cincinnati student chapter of Remote Area Medical held its annual free health clinic July 11-12 at St. Xavier High School. Medical, dental and vision care was offered to adults and children, with no income requirements or insurance needed.
