PNC’s Home Buying Specialists Panel discusses tools for home-buying process

On Thursday, Feb. 28, discover how PNC is expanding UC employee benefits to simplify your life with easy home-buying tools during informational breakfast

PNC will be hosting an informational breakfast on Feb. 28, 8 - 10 a.m., in the lobby of University Hall.  Experts including a mortgage loan officer and realtor will be on hand to answer any questions about buying, selling or re-financing your home, as well as the special perks, rewards and benefits available to UC employees through PNC Bank and Comey & Shepherd.

In 2018, PNC Bank launched a new online tool called Home Insight. PNC Home Insight is a start to finish homebuying guide that ensures the entire process is easy to understand thanks to Planner and Tracker tools.

PNC Home Insight Planner gives a clear view of your homebuying vison.

The Home Insight Planner generates home affordability scenarios and determines a mortgage payment that is realistic – based on your unique budget and lifestyle. This tool also includes a real-time shopping feature that shows up-to-date rates and loan products. The Home Insight Planner can enhance the homebuying experience in a number of ways.

Once the search process begins, the Home Insight Planner saves your favorite homes in a customized home affordability summary. The Planner factors in personal spending habits and adjusts expenses to find a compatible home payment. These adjustments are possible because of the scenario component that generates affordability scenarios based on your actual budget information.

Home Insight Tracker brings a new level of transparency and mobile accessibility to the mortgage process.

The Tracker keeps you up to date on the status of your mortgage application every step of the way. Whether it is checking the status of your application, verifying details or managing documents and communications, the Home Insight Planner streamlines all of those tasks.

Buying a home can be a confusing and intimidating process. That is why PNC has also created the “Understanding Home Lending Center,” an online resource with articles and education covering all aspects of the home buying process.  This resource can be found via pnc.com/homeinsight.
