Celebrate TUC turning 15: here are five ways

Join Campus Services, and bring a little party to your day

Tangeman University Center (TUC) opened its doors for the first time in 1935, serving as the heart of UC student life. The building went through many updates through the years to meet the changing needs of the UC community. A major renovation was completed in 2004, at the dawn of UC MainStreet. Now, we are pausing to celebrate a milestone birthday — number 15.

Throughout the day on Thursday, March 14, there will be five opportunities to celebrate.

  1. Start your day off right at ExpressMart with 15-cent freshly brewed coffee from 7 - 11 a.m. ExpressMart is located on Level 3, directly across from PNC Bank.
  2. If you are looking for a snack, stop by MainStreet Cinema from 11 a.m. to noon for free popcorn.
  3. If popcorn isn’t enough to get you through lunchtime, grab a friend and head over to Mick & Mack’s for the two-for-$15 lunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The first 25 pairs to order the buffet will also receive a birthday gift!
  4. After filling up on all the great dishes, be sure to leave room for dessert. Birthday cookies will be served at 2 p.m. in the TUC Level 3 lobby. This sweet treat, and a bit of music, too, will get you through the afternoon.
  5. To round out the celebration, the following TUC eateries will be offering deals ALL DAY for just $1.50.
  • Burger King: 15 nuggets
  • Taco Bell: two regular tacos
  • MainStreet Pizza Co: Upgrade to a combo
  • Catskeller: Nachos

TUC is the central campus location where you can eat, shop, meet and play. Come celebrate this great space, Thursday March 14.
