UC professor talks children's literacy on WVXU's 'Cincinnati Edition'
Tuesday's episode of "Cincinnati Edition" on WVXU covered the innovative ways local organizations are improving reading rates among kids.
Host Michael Monks led a discussion with a number of guests, including the University of Cincinnati's Reneé Seward, associate professor of graphic design in the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.
Seward developed the See Word Reading App to help promote literacy. Her startup recently won the Cincinnati Business Courier's Innovation & Technology Award for Best Software Product.

Cedrick Kwuimy, associate professor educator in the Department of Engineering and Computing Education at the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science is studying how a student’s first co-op experience impacts the remainder of their journey as an engineering student, and how educators can better prepare them for these experiences. Kwuimy and his collaborators have received a three-year grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to support this research.
