The UC Real Estate Center's monthly Roundtable program will look at how innovation will transform the spaces in which we work

The rapid advancement of new digital transformation strategies, agile work processes, and the fall of siloed space will have profound impact on the places that we build. Yet the fundamental force driving this change is the desire to enable people to work and live in high performance environments. Hence, we are experiencing the rising tension of worker expectations on the workplace. Today most companies, regardless of their sector, recognize this opportunity and are searching for answers.

Rich Isphording is Vice President of Strategic Alliances & Applied Research + Consulting for Steelcase Inc. Steelcase helps create great experiences — wherever work happens. Its brands offer a comprehensive portfolio of workplace furnishings, products and services. Rich is responsible for the design and real estate communities, Applied Research + Consulting team. Previously, Rich was Director of Vertical Markets, North America, where he was responsible for higher education, federal government, state and local government, biosciences, professional services, retail banking and hospitality. Rich has been with Steelcase for 30 years and spent much of his career in Los Angeles and San Francisco and is now based in Cincinnati.

After working with her family in the residential real estate sector throughout high school, Warner’s experience at Lindner gifted her with a well-rounded knowledge of the commercial real estate industry — and her activities in the U.K. opened up a whole new perspective.
