For the third straight year the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is welcoming the largest freshman class in school history.

There are 1,700 students in the incoming class this fall, which tops the previous record of 1,555 students in last year’s freshman class. Total enrollment for UC Blue Ash this year is 5,172, an increase of more than six percent from 2018.

This news follows the recent announcement by the University of Cincinnati that it welcomed its largest incoming class ever and set a new enrollment record for the seventh straight year.

“The continued growth of our college doesn’t happen by accident. It’s a tribute to the work being done every single day by our outstanding faculty and staff,” says Robin Lightner, dean of UC Blue Ash College. “It’s also a tribute to our students who are thriving in our supportive environment that focuses on rigorous academics and personal attention to help them succeed.”

Along with the record-setting class, another new development on campus this fall involves the major renovation of Muntz Hall, the 52-year-old flagship building. The second phase of the renovation project was recently completed and provides a redesign of the third floor. The first two phases totaled $8.5 million and created modern new classrooms, offices, study areas and conference rooms. Phase three, which covers a large portion of the building’s second floor, began this summer and is scheduled to be complete in 2020.
