Local and national outlets take note of UC's new K9 team
UC's Lori Cronin is the first female explosive detection K9 handler in the region
The University of Cincinnati Police Division recently announced the addition of a K9 team to the K9 Unit. Officer Lori Cronin, who has been with the UCPD since 2005, is the first female explosive detection K9 handler in the region. Her partner, Harley, is one of only a handful of female explosive detection K9s in the region.
The pair were recently certified through the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission. The unit also includes Officer Lance Long and K9 Dozer, who have been with the UCPD since 2015.
