The showcase must — and will — go on for UC acting, musical theatre students, thanks to CCM alums
The University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music pioneered the idea of creating a showcase of graduating musical theatre seniors to get them in front of key industry agents and casting directors in New York City. Senior acting students similarly present an annual showcase for industry insiders in New York and Los Angeles. The showcases became a model for programs across the country, but this year coronavirus canceled the events.
Thanks to the help of some CCM alumni, new Virtual Senior Showcases will allow industry professionals and the general public to see this year’s graduating student performers in action.
The news was covered by Broadway World, Local 12 and WVXU.
