UC celebrates International Education Week Nov. 16-20

Slate of virtual events planned to encourage cross-cultural understanding and study abroad

International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education celebrated by institutions worldwide. Held Nov. 16-20, 2020, the events of International Education Week are an opportunity to:

  • Promote international education
  • Build support for global exchange
  • Encourage the development of programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and workforce
  • Attract the best and brightest minds to study in the United States

UC International will host a variety of virtual activities for students, faculty and staff throughout International Education Week, from cooking demonstrations to happy hours.

Study Abroad Virtual Fair

During International Education Week, UC International will hold the annual Study Abroad Fair virtually. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020.

Using an innovative virtual fair software from Luna Fairs, students will enter information about themselves and receive study abroad program options tailored to their interests.

Students will also have the ability to chat with staff from UC International, Lindner College of Business International Programs, Experience-Based Learning and Career Education and program partner USAC about future opportunities, travel questions and funding options.
