CEAS adds professors in biomedical and environmental engineering
The University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science welcomed two new faculty members in January 2022 at the start of the spring semester.

Research/Teaching Interests: terrestrial hydrology; fluvial hydrology; hydrologic modeling; remote sensing; river discharge; surface water quality; hydrologic impacts of climate change and human activities
Eric Nauman
Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering
Research/Teaching Interests: biomechanics of injury prevention and rehabilitation; design of assistive technologies; engineered tissue development; cancer diagnosis and treatment

The University of Cincinnati stood out to Thavishka Gamage because of the top-ranked cooperative education (co-op) program and the Cincinnati community. He earned his bachelor's degree in computer science and will graduate with his Master of Engineering degree in industrial and systems engineering this spring. He was part of student organizations across campus and connected with the College of Engineering and Applied Science community.
