July 8, 2022
Dear UC Community,
Earlier today, an anonymous individual called emergency services and reported that a suspicious backpack was in a classroom on the UC Blue Ash Campus.
Out of an abundance of caution, the campus was evacuated, and police officers and K-9 teams checked the building for potential explosives. An emergency message was sent to the entire university community, using the Rave Alert system, asking the community to avoid the area. It was determined there was no threat to campus. A follow-up message was sent notifying the UC community that the campus was safe to re-enter.
Sincerely,
Eliot K. Isaac
Director of Public Safety and Chief of Police
