Get to know the Center for Student Involvement

Former Student Activities & Leadership Development office rebrands to better align with purpose

UC's Student Activities & Leadership Development (SALD) launched their new name today: the Center for Student Involvement (CSI). The change followed extensive benchmarking and input from students, faculty, and staff over the course of the fall 2022 semester to select a name that reflects the office's mission and helps students easily find their way to resources for engaging with UC. Director Kristin Ford said, “our new name best represents the focus and work of our team to create and facilitate opportunities for students to be involved Bearcats.” UC students, staff, faculty and community members are invited to celebrate the official launch 2-4 p.m., March 8, in the CSI Office (Steger Student Life Center, Suite 455).

Our new name best represents the focus and work of our team to create and facilitate opportunities for students to be involved Bearcats.

The office’s mission, values, and purpose remains the same — to provide a vibrant Bearcat community through engagement, advocacy, education and inclusion. CSI will continue to realize their mission through leadership education and initiatives, large campus programming, the student organization community, advisor support and more.
