Goering Center announces 2023 Family & Private Business award honorees

Eleven local companies and two business leaders were honored at the 24th Annual Goering Center Family & Private Business Awards on Monday, Sept. 11 at the Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati. The event was co-hosted by Carol Butler, president of the Goering Center, and Cincinnati Bengals Legend Kenny Anderson.

“Each year, the Goering Center recognizes companies that represent the ideals of the Center and what we know to be the qualities of great organizations,” said Butler. “Our annual awards provide businesses with a unique opportunity to showcase their successes and the impact they are making in our community.”

The premier sponsors of the event were Clark Schaefer Hackett, Fifth Third Bank, USI Insurance Services and Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati. The Keith Baldwin Volunteer of the Year was Brad Haas from Katz Teller and the Larry Grypp Rising Leader Award was Billie Vega from Sweets & Meats BBQ.

The Greater Cincinnati Family Business Hall of Fame recognizes companies or individuals who have made a long-term community impact through their employment growth, philanthropy, community engagement and enhancement of our community image. This year’s inductee was Verst Logistics.
