Hoxworth Blood Center and the Cincinnati Cyclones team up to bolster the local blood supply

Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati, is teaming up with the Cincinnati Cyclones to ensure a steady blood supply to help local Tri-state patients in need.

Individuals who donate blood or platelets between November 1 – 30 at any of Hoxworth’s seven Neighborhood Donor Centers or select mobile blood drives will receive the first-ever Cincinnati Cyclones Hoxworth Donor jersey!

“We are proud to once again partner with Hoxworth Blood Center at the University of Cincinnati for this crucially important campaign,” says Kristin Ropp, Vice President and General Manager, Heritage Bank Center and Cincinnati Cyclones. “For any of us who have relied on blood donations, the gratitude makes being a donor an easy decision to pay it forward. We are certainly thrilled to incentivize the Greater Cincinnati area with a cool Cyclones jersey and we challenge the community to donate throughout the month of November.”

The partnership between Hoxworth Blood Center and the Cincinnati Cyclones is to encourage our community to donate blood. The goal is to raise awareness about the importance of donating blood and to help meet the needs of various medical treatments, surgeries, and emergencies for patients in local hospitals. Together, we are saving lives close to home.

“As we head into November, we're profoundly grateful to our selfless blood donors, the true heroes who give the gift of life. Your generosity is the heartbeat of our mission,” says David Oh, MD, Chief Medical Officer, Hoxworth Blood Center. “We are excited to partner up with our hometown hockey team to thank donors for making a difference in our community.”

Hoxworth’s seven Neighborhood Donor Centers are located in Anderson, Blue Ash, Clifton (Central), Ft. Mitchell, KY, West Chester (North), Tri-County, and Western Hills (West). Appointments are highly encouraged but walk-ins are welcome as our schedules allow.
