Celebrate the holiday season with upcoming CCM concerts
The festivities begin with CCM's Jazz Nutcracker on Nov. 19 and Feast of Carols on Dec. 2-3
CCM's collegiate and preparatory ensembles celebrate the winter holidays with a variety of upcoming performances!
Swing into the festive season on Sunday, Nov. 19, with the CCM Jazz Orchestra's original retelling of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn's remarkable adaptation of The Nutcracker Suite! Under the musical direction of Scott Belck, dancers from CCM’s Musical Theatre program will join the Jazz Orchestra to transform the romantic orchestrations from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker into jumping jazz melodies. Featuring choreography by Diane Lala, a classical ballet becomes cool-cat jazz, infused with Vegas glitz, Hollywood glamor and a little New York razzmatazz. Below, watch a teaser video for this year's Jazz Nutcracker.
The festivities continue Dec. 2-3 with Feast of Carols, CCM's annual winter holiday concert of choral favorites. A Cincinnati tradition for more than 100 years, Feast of Carols features performances by the CCM Chamber Choir, CCM Chorale, CCM Concert Orchestra, CCM Graduate Brass Quintet, UC Choruses and Cincinnati Youth Choir. Each performance also features one of the outstanding guest choirs from Milford High School, Little Miami High School, St. Xavier High School and Campbell County High School. Joe Miller, Brett Scott, Aik Khai Pung and Robyn Lana conduct, along with guest conductors including Tracy Carpenter and Robin Baker. Each Feast of Carols performance features a mix of iconic classic songs, jovial favorites and sparkling new holiday carols. Below, watch an excerpt from last year's Feast of Carols.
CCM's Youth Wind Ensembles and the Cincinnati Youth Choir also present holiday concerts in December. See full details below.

The Niehoff Center for Film and Media Studies at the University of Cincinnati invites the campus and community to delve into the thought-provoking “2026 UC European Film Series: Perspectives on Our World.” Five recent films will be screened, with introductions and discussions led by UC faculty. Using a variety of genres and forms, these films encourage audiences to think about their place on the planet, in relation to civic engagement, to the natural world, to others, and even to space aliens in Moravia. “The series is a mix of realism, reality, comedy, and escapism that we hope will make you see things differently,” said Michael Gott, Neihoff Center director of programming and College of Arts and Sciences professor. “Film can make us rethink our ideas about the world and see things from different perspectives.” Past topics have ranged from artificial intelligence to migration, urban spaces, and women in film. Following each screening, discussions with filmmakers and UC faculty aim to spark meaningful conversations.
