UC Blue Ash to host a Comeback Bearcat Information Session on June 22
Former UC Blue Ash students without an associate degree can be eligible for a $500 scholarship
Evan Waller just needed a few classes when he came back to complete his associate degree.
The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College will host an in-person Comeback Bearcat program information session on Saturday, June 22 from 12-1:30 pm. in Muntz Hall on the UC Blue Ash campus.
To qualify for the Comeback Bearcat program, students should have attended any UC college, have less than 30 credit hours needed to complete their associate degree and maintained a grade point average of 2.0 or higher, but stopped out before earning an associate degree.
Previously enrolled students will learn about the Comeback Bearcat program through a presentation, attend a financial aid workshop and meet with program representatives.
Seth Harrison took advantage of the scholarships and support from the Comeback Bearcat program to finish his associate degree and advance his sales career.
Many students stop out of college due to finances, work or the different challenges life can present. With devoted staff members, UC Blue Ash removes issues related to re-enrollment and directs students toward support services such as advising, financial aid, academic support and more.
Students who qualify for the Comeback Bearcat program will receive a scholarship of up to $500 each semester. Feaven Maru is a recipient of the Comeback scholarship.
“This scholarship means a great deal to me. Coming back to school part-time while working full-time has been a challenge to say the least, but to see my hard work receive recognition from the school reminds me why I went to school in the first place. I am certainly grateful to receive this scholarship.” said Maru.
