UC’s Hoxworth Blood Center, Bearcats team up to tackle need for blood in greater Cincinnati
Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati, is joining forces with the UC Bearcats to address the urgent need for blood donations in the Greater Cincinnati area. This September, the Bearcats are stepping up to support local patients, and you can be a part of it.
Until Sept. 30, all blood and platelet donors who give at any of Hoxworth’s seven Neighborhood Donor Centers — Anderson, Blue Ash, Clifton, Ft. Mitchell, West Chester, Tri-County, and West — or select mobile blood drives will receive a limited-edition Bearcats quarter zip sweatshirt as a thank you for their lifesaving gift, while supplies last. Schedule your donation at hoxworth.org.
"We are thrilled to collaborate with the UC Bearcats to give back to our community and ignite a wave of generosity across Bearcat Nation," said Dr. David Oh, co-chair and director of Hoxworth Blood Center. "By coming together, we are not only strengthening the local blood supply but also cultivating a spirit of compassion and unity among students, faculty and the entire Cincinnati community."
Bearcats and Bearcats fans, it’s time to show your support. Join Hoxworth Blood Center at the UC All-Campus Blood Drive. It's Sept. 16-20. Every day is a new opportunity to donate across UC’s campuses including Uptown, Clermont, Blue Ash and medical campus. This is your chance to be a part of the Bearcats community in a powerful show of support for local patients.
Be a lifesaving Bearcat and schedule your donation today! Visit hoxworth.org/uc.html or call (513) 451-0910 to make an appointment. Together, we can tackle the need for blood and show the power of the Bearcats community.
Hoxworth Blood Center, a vital part of the University of Cincinnati since 1944, was born from the vision of former UC College of Medicine Dean Stanley Dorst and Dr. Paul Hoxworth, with the support of then-UC President Raymond Walters. As the oldest blood bank in the country, and the only one sponsored by a university, Hoxworth continues its mission to serve the community while fostering deep connections with the Bearcats.
