Celebrate MLK Day with the gift of life
Donate at annual MLK Hoxworth Blood Drive at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center
Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati, is proud to announce the 17th annual MLK Blood Drive, celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of service. This year’s event is hosted in collaboration with the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated and the MLK Coalition. The blood drive will take place on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 4th floor of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, located at 50 E. Freedom Way. Donors who give blood or platelets at the event will receive a limited edition MLK t-shirt, Hoxworth joggers and a $10 eGift card for whole blood or $20 eGift card for double red or platelet donations as a thank you for their lifesaving contributions. The Freedom Center will also be offering FREE ADMISSION on Monday, Jan. 20 in honor of MLK Day.
Can’t make the MLK blood drive? You can still honor Dr. King’s legacy by donating blood or platelets at any of Hoxworth’s seven Neighborhood Donor Centers from Jan. 20-26. Use group code NUR to give on behalf of MLK Day and receive exclusive Hoxworth joggers, plus a $10 eGift card as a thank you for saving lives.
